Name : Ruby
Procedure : 4-Hour Smile
Rating: 5 Stars
When she was younger, Ruby wasn’t able to take proper care of her teeth. Starting at the age of 14, her children became her top priority, and her dental health took a backseat. As a result, her teeth began rotting and deteriorating, making it difficult for her to smile confidently and perform routine tasks with her teeth. She eventually lost 10 teeth, with as many as 7 remaining damaged in the mouth. It’s been 17 years since Ruby has felt comfortable with her smile, and she has been unable to live her life to the fullest because of how self-conscious she constantly feels.
After being chosen as the recipient for the Amarillo Smile Again program, Ruby visited Dr. Graves, Dr. Wilkinson, and Dr. Atkins for a full-arch restoration, otherwise known as the 4-hour smile. The full-arch restoration procedure uses as few as four dental implants to support a custom-designed, permanent denture. The denture looks, functions, and feels just like natural teeth, and helped restore Ruby’s full mouth of teeth. After the initial placement of the implants and temporary denture, Ruby spent several months healing while her restorative dentist created her permanent denture. After the dental implants integrated with her jaw bone, her new set of teeth were affixed to the implants, restoring her smile.
As a result of her full-arch restoration, Ruby has gotten a second chance at life. She feels confident in her new smile and no longer has to worry about missing or damaged teeth negatively affecting her lifestyle. Her new teeth look and function just like natural teeth, making it easy for her to live the life she’s wanted since her dental health began deteriorating.
