Going to college is more expensive than ever. At Amarillo Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, we want to help. Our first annual Wisdom for Wisdom program is designed to provide one deserving student with the opportunity to make their textbooks for the upcoming academic year more affordable by offsetting the cost with a free wisdom tooth extraction.
The application period for the Wisdom for Wisdom program is now closed.

“The Wisdom for Wisdom program would mean that I would be able to take the expenses of textbooks and use that for a wisdom tooth removal. I am currently a sophomore nursing student at Oklahoma Baptist University, and I am 19 years old. Winning this program would be a huge help for me and my family. I have been told in the past two years that I need to get them removed before they begin causing unwanted problems. We had it all scheduled for this summer, but unfortunately, we had a financial situation come up and had to cancel the appointment. Wisdom for Wisdom would mean that I would be able to take care of two things at once. I would be removing teeth that will soon begin causing problems, and I would be able to go back to college this fall with a little less stress to deal with financially. To some people, this may not seem like a big deal. However, to me this is a huge opportunity because I do not know when I will be able to afford the surgery again. As the video stated, the early to mid-teen years are the time to get wisdom teeth removed for many reasons, and I am close to being 20. I believe that the program will help so many people as it continues each year!”
